Theresa Lola is a British Nigerian poet and artist who uses poetry to enrich multidisciplinary work, combining it with music, sound, and visual art. Her work seeks to facilitate reflection, inspire belonging, and preserve cultural knowledge. She has performed at the ICA and Royal Albert Hall. Her debut visual poetry exhibition was held at Bermondsey Project Space.

Aside from creating, she curates and consults. She has been commissioned by Selfridges, Mayor of London's Office, and Royal Festival Hall, contributed to projects by Aesop and Rimowa, and has designed programmes for Dulwich Picture Gallery and Hackney Museum.

Theresa Lola is the author of two poetry collections and holds an Mst in Creative Writing from University of Oxford. A poem from her debut book In Search of Equilibrium (Nine Arches Press) is in the UK’s GCSE syllabus. Her second collection Ceremony for the Nameless (Penguin) was praised in The Guardian as a book that “assures her place as a trailblazer for a new wave of poets”.
